Food Intolerance
“Elizabeth can no longer eats strawberries. Every time she bites into the juicy red berries, she gets a rash on the upper part of her body and can’t stop itching. Robert ends up with diarrhea after eating any milk product, and hazelnuts in cake cause David to have an asthma attack.”
Acute reactions to food can appear shortly after eating particular food or several hours later. Symptoms range from itching, rash, stomach pain, diarrhea, vomiting, itchy eyes, sneezing to full blown asthma attack and allergic shock reactions. Joint pain or psychic reactions are not as common.
Some patients react to food contaminated with anti-pesticide sprays or mold fungi. Reactions to food additives like food colouring and preservatives are on the increase. Among those are benzoic acid, glutamate and many more of the “E” labelled substances.
Food intolerances are really an allergy that we have to food. These can be demonstrated by a severe attack like a nut allergy or a more subtle kind that we may not even know about. It’s the latter that can really oppress our immune system and cause many other problems that are hard to find by doctors. It’s important to know what you are intolerant to so you can eliminate it whilst you have treatment – yes that’s right – if you find the root cause for your allergy and have treatment you will be able to eat the food again and not have to have a life of abstinence!!
Also not many people realise that certain foods are at the top of the allergy chain, all allergies fall under these “central allergens” they are:
- Wheat
- Milk
- Eggs
- Sugar
- Kiwi
- Strawberries
- Yeast
- Lemon
- Pork
- Tomato
The great news is that when these are successfully treated ALL OTHER INTOLERANCES tend to vanish.
How to find out which is your Intolerance
It can be expensive and time consuming to find out, that’s why you doctor wont happily suggest they send you for tests. You may have heard of a prick test which works one substance at a time and can be unreliable and the only option is to abstain from the food. But a blood test company in Leeds can actually test 690 foods with just one drop of blood. But more importantly they also do a test to determine what the CAUSE of the allergy is!! Once that cause has been removed you can begin to feel better and not have ANY allergies again.
But what is the cause?
There are 3 basic causes of allergies, one or all of these have been found in our clinic in Leeds and successfully treated.
1, 35% caused by Candida
2, 98% caused by Parasites
3, Trigger in body sending the wrong message
But how can I be treated?
As part of the blood test you will also receive a guide on how to treat the cause, this often will include natural remedies that have been used for thousands of years, change of diet and possibly a visit to a therapist if the trigger needs eliminating.
